Seeking God’s Best

Proverbs 3:1-4 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace shall they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
God’s promise is clear – obey His commandments. (Not just the 10 Commandments, but all the precepts given in the New Testament!) This is what Solomon is speaking of here. To put God first and seek His kingdom. (See Matthew 6:33) The blessings we will benefit from include Length of Days, Long Life, and Peace! Proverbs 3:5-6 sums it up this way: Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
We all need to seek God’s best for our lives!

Living in God’s best – don’t settle for less!
