Jesus has given many precious promises in His Word. In John 14:27, He tells us that we are not to be troubled or afraid; that He will give a peace that this world knows nothing about!
A missionary was translating the Word of God for a jungle tribe but they had no word for “peace.” As one of the natives thought about it, he told the missionary that he did not know a word for peace but that if he would use, “Jesus will make your heart sit down,” the people would understand.
We must let Jesus fill our hearts and calm our fears.
