Some years ago an officer in the Royal Navy told this interesting story. His ship’s flag had these words on it: “In the care of God.” Whenever the ship was in heavy engagement, the men aboard would look up, see the flag flying, and take courage. They knew the ship was still “in the care of God.”
In the Song of Solomon, we read, “His banner over me was love.” (2:4b). This banner flies from the ship of your life. On it are these words: “In the care of God.” When problems mount, heartaches bring tears, and cares seem heavier than you can bear, you will be comforted as you look up and read,
“In the care of God.”
