We are challenged in Scripture to see the contrast between things that are going to make a difference in eternity and things of the world.
Matthew 6:20 tells us to “lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven…” I wonder how much thought we give to our Heavenly treasure vs. our earthly treasures.
The Bible mentions rewards that await the believer who serves the Lord faithfully in this world (Matthew 10:41). When Jesus is our treasure, we will commit our resources – our money, our time, our talents – to do His work.
What a privilege to serve the LORD!
