Exceeding Great and Precious Promises

Many years ago, a man came to his employer and told him that he could no longer work without pay. He said his wife had lost her job and they had no income. The employer knew that the man had been well paid and asked him what he had been doing with his paychecks. The man replied, “Those little white slips of paper? I did not know they were as good as money.”

We are guilty of doing this with the promises of God… we fail to cash them in. In these unstable, uncertain days, it is a joy and a comfort to know that “THERE HATH NOT FAILED ONE WORD OF ALL HIS GOOD PROMISES.”
