The story is told of a great violinist who presented a concert in a huge auditorium filled to capacity. As the last note of his beautiful music died away, there was a moment of complete silence. Suddenly the audience broke into enthusiastic applause.
However, the artist scarcely seemed to hear it. He was looking intently into the balcony. There in a corner sat his teacher. As the instructor nodded his head in approval, the famous musician turned and acknowledged the applause of the audience. His first concern had been to please and win the approval of his teacher.
We, as faithful children of God, are to keep our eyes on our Master… our desire is to please Him as we follow Him each day.
