Summer

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. – Psalm 19:1-3

God’s creation is one of order! We can always depend on the four seasons to be right on time. Summer will always be the time of the longest and hottest days! Summer begins in the Northern Hemisphere when the June solstice occurs – this year, on June 21st. It is when the sun reaches both its highest and northernmost point in the sky. “Solstice” comes from a Latin word meaning “sun standing,” reflecting on the fact that the sun appears to stop moving in the sky as it reaches its northernmost point and appears to reverse course and head back in the opposite direction. It is our prayer that your summer activities will be enjoyable. Just like the seasons, God has order for our lives that glorifies Himself! We are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God!
